Aquablation is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses real-time ultrasound imaging, robotics for precision, and the Aquabeam (water jet) to precisely remove prostate tissue. Unlike the common transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) procedure, which uses heat, Aquablation’s water jet is heat-free, reducing complications such as bleeding, infection, and erectile dysfunction. Additionally, Aquablation has a lower risk of retrograde ejaculation, a common TURP side effect.
